Todd grew up in the St. Louis area and attended Southern Illinois University right outside of St. Louis. He is married to his wife, Juliette, and is the proud father of Violet and Theo.  He attended seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Todd is the owner of an award winning retro furniture store in south St. Louis city. 

In his free time he likes to have family dance parties and family sing alongs to Hamilton the musical.

Matt grew up in a suburb 30 miles west of St. Louis City. With a passion to bridge the gap of the racial divide in St. Louis Matt and his wife Maggie moved to the the city to join the team at Apostles.

In addition to serving at Apostles, Matt works as a web/marketing freelancer and owns an award-winning DJ company and is currently pursuing his Masters of Theological Studies with an emphasis in Leadership at Midwestern Seminary

Dion and Rhonda have been married for 19 years and have 12 children together. They've called St. Louis home most of their adult lives. Dion works for an IT company and works alongside Rhonda as she works hard raising and homeschooling their kids.

Rhonda describes contentment as working at an orphanage loving on babies. Dion describes contentment as obeying God's will for their lives which according to Rhonda will most likely always include babies!

vandeventer city group leaders

Jake and Desirae have been with Apostles nearly 3 years. Jake is a regional operations manager at a furniture delivery company and Desirae is a stay at home mom. They have 2 biological children, Callie and Judah, and lots of others kids in and out out of their home at any point! They are passionate about foster care and showing people Jesus through family life. If you ever run into them anywhere, it’s likely at their favorite Mexican spot El Burro Loco, or at Piccione eating cannolis! 


shaw city group leaders

DJ and Anitra Brown have been married for a year and share their lives with foster children. They believe in the power of community and serving others. DJ is a co-working space office manager and sings in the Worship band at Apostles. Anitra is a middle school special education teacher and serves on the hospitality team at the church. Together they hope to reach people and bring them to a deeper knowledge of who Christ is. 

Outside of this they love Mexican food, dance, and unpopular music.
